Ben was the only Son of late Mr & Mrs. Suraindran. He was born in Northern Sri Lanka (Uduvil). His great-grandfather was the Headman of Uduvil.  Ben was a proud Johnian - he studied at St.John's Colege,Jaffna,Sri Lanka. He had an explicable love and pride for his school. Later he continued his studies in Alexandra College, Colombo 7.  He was a gifted and talented man. He came to England as a Student. He was qualified in Electronics and Automobile and worked for BT. Ben was a large person, large in heart, blessed with large volumes of love and caring, filled with large capacity to entertain and help all who needed him. He was diagnosed with gastric cancer in October 2012. When his cancer was diagnosed in October 2012, the cancer appeared to be an early one. His cancer became aggressive and progressed over the course of the next year. In May 2013 - his stomach cancer was progressing and becoming larger in size. He was a vulnerable man who was understandably anxious about his cancer and other medical problems at a relatively young age. It was his heart condition which very sadly excluded him from stronger treatments. The more we live the greater we appreciate God's blessing. Though Ben knew his days were numbered he praised God by his cheerful living the rest of his days.
